Changes in the public transport range in Örebro county starting 15 December 2024

Upcoming adjustments of the public transports in Örebro County.

On 15 December, a new route network will be introduced in Örebro. On the same day, changes will also be made to the regional bus traffic, with seven bus routes being discontinued. The reason is that Region Örebro County needs to save money to meet its budget.

Bus routes that will no longer operate from December 15:

  • Route 353: Storå – Ramsberg
  • Route 521: Örebro – Närkes Kil – Klockhammar
  • Route 743: Kumla – Åbytorp – Götabro
  • Route 751: Askersund – Olshammar – Askersund
  • Route 822: Odensbacken – Hampetorp
  • Route 824: Örebro – Norrbyås
  • Route 828: Pålsboda – Hjortkvarn

Other changes and adjustments

  • Route 825 (Örebro – Norra Bro – Almbro) will be replaced by route 807 (Örebro – Pålsboda), which will cover the same route between Almbro, Norra Bro, and Örebro.
  • Route 807 will have more departures with quarter-hourly service in the morning and afternoon.
  • Route 600 (Örebro – Fjugesta) will have fewer departures and will connect to route 630 to/from Mullhyttan.
  • Route 314 will have a new bus stop close to the new tomato farm outside of Frövi.
  • Minor adjustments will be made to route 351 to enable transfers.

The new route network in Örebro

The new route network means that several routes will be combined and fewer routes will operate more frequently. The current 12 routes will be reduced to 7, but with the same number of buses and more frequent departures. Along with the new City Line (Citylinjen), the new route network will be faster, simpler, and more sustainable.
