Wadköping is located right next to the city park in Örebro, and is an area of preserved buildings dating back to the 16th century. Wadköping is known for its red wooden buildings, craft workshops, cobbled streets and courtyards.

Theatre performances and markets are held in Wadköping every year. In the winter there are also Christmas markets and Christmas entertainment, including a visit from Santa Claus himself.
